This consortium is designed to support interdisciplinary work within projects while also engaging the broader community of scholars investigating the themes that characterize it.
With a focus on increasing conceptual and scientific rigor, opportunities hosted by the consortium are open to all CASP members and will include avenues for collaboration, professional development, writing fellowships, manuscript reviews, publicity videos and more.
Many early career scientists and other researchers benefit from short-term visits to other research groups at different institutions, either to learn new theoretical modeling strategies or experimental techniques, as well as to gain exposure to different ways of thinking and new ideas.
The CASP budget has the capacity to support 15 short-term cross-training awards of approximately 6-8 weeks (exact times negotiable) over its life cycle.
Early career researchers will need to submit a short application and a basic budget for the prospective visit along with a commitment letter from the designated host. This program applies not only to an early career researcher visiting another CASP member but also any research group deemed relevant and indicated as such in the proposal.
Please join us at one of the forthcoming CASP Listening Sessions to hear more details from PI Alan Love about the formation of the consortium and its planned activities, as well as to share your ideas for the continued development of this collaborative project.
